Malawi School Kitchens
Nice news about Martha Blayne having a school kitchen in Malawi named after her, following her success with her NeverSeconds blog. It reminded us though that the vast majority of deaf children (70%) in Malawi do not attend school at all, either because people don’t think it is worth sending them, or when they get there teachers don’t understand how to communicate with them.  Our projects to develop awareness and communication training are having a real impact now though – one mother, Mseka told us, I wouldn’t have known Nelly had the potential of achieving what she has done in speech and academics.”
