Fundraising
Our projects show how we work, by finding partners in other countries who understand ways of finding local solutions to local problems. What we offer is guidance in piloting and running programmes, evaluating and reporting, and building the capacity of local organisations. We also have a vital role in raising funds for these programmes, from grants and trusts, donations, and fundraising events.
We could not do any of this without the generous support of people here in the UK.
We receive donations from individuals who want to help our work, sometimes because of a personal interest in the African countries that we work in or in deafness, and sometimes to commemorate an event or in memory of a loved one. We also have givers who are able to commit to making regular donations.
We receive support from the business community in Shrewsbury, Shropshire and in other parts of the UK.
We receive grant funding from institutions and trusts to support our work in general, or to develop particular projects or work in particular countries.
The more people who know about our work, the better. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter, and let your friends know about us by linking to our Blog posts.
We take the committment you have made to us very seriously and make every effort to thank everyone who supports us, and keep them informed of our work.
We add all our supporteres to our mailing list, to receive copies of our newsletters and information about events, (unless you prefer not to receive this information).
We also thank them in our newsletter and on our website (unless you prefer not to receive publicity).
We are members of the self-regulating Fundraising Standards Board so you can “give with confidence”. Read our guarantee here: Woodford promise.
